DESCRIPTION:
Phenalkamine is an exceptional epoxy resin hardener with its distinctive structure imparting unique properties to curing agents and to their coatings. This is solvent free low viscosity and color stable curing agent allows formulation of high solids/high build heavy duty coatings for marine and industrial applications. This is also suitable curing agent for BisphenolA, Bisphenol F and EPN resins.
Phenalkamine exhibit some special features such as:
Rapid cure at low temperature (“ 5°C) Ship DOT non corrosive
Good chemical and solvent resistance Excellent water and corrosion resistance Low viscosity
Non-critical mixing
Cured coatings are tack-free even under low Temperature and high humidity conditions. Good adhesion to poorly prepared surfaces
Compatible with most resins and solvents Solvent free
APPLICATIONS:Major application is for Marine/Industrial and surface tolerant coatings. This may be used for high solid coatings in applications like floorings, tank lining, construction and adhesives The coatings prepared even under cold, damp and poorly prepared surface show no blush. GP 439 has been accepted for use in coatings for potable water contact in several countries.
