Chemitac 7 is a heat reactive adhesive for bonding silicone elastomers (VMQ) with steel, aluminum, aramid, textile fibers and glass by vulcanization process. The textile fibers can be: Cotton, cellulose, polyamide, polyester, and aramid. This adhesive is also used to promote adhesion between the elastomer and chemically treated surfaces which cannot be grit blasted such as: Phosphate steel, galvanized, chromate conversion treated and stainless, moreover ceramic engineering. Chemitac 7 is a heavy metals free product.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS

1- Non-volatile solids (2h @ 70°C): < 6,2%

2- Specific gravity at 25°C: 0,830 g/cm3

3- Viscosity Brookfield at 25°C: 3 cps - #2 spindle @ 30 rpm.

4- Viscosity Ford Cup # 4 at 25°C: 9 s.

5- Diluents: Methanol/ Ethanol 99º GL

6- Bonding Temperature Range: 150 a 200ºC

7- Shelf life: 2 years (closed can below 25ºC).

8- Elastomers: Silicone Rubber (VMQ)

CHEMICAL COMPOSITION

Resins and catalysts stabilized in alcohol solvents.
